Privacy policy
This policy describes what we actually do — nothing more.
What we collect
Only what you give us: your name, ZIP code, cell number (used to sign you in and, only if you opt in, for campaign texts), email (only if you provide it), your story (only if you share one), and a log of the advocacy actions you take through this site.
How we use it
- Your ZIP is matched to your Assembly district so your messages reach your own representatives.
- Your story is used only in the ways you explicitly consented to: privately to personalize your own letters, on the public story wall, and/or in hearing packets. You can change these consents anytime from your dashboard.
- Texts and emails are sent only with your opt-in, recorded with a timestamp and source. Reply STOP to any text and it stops.
- AI-drafted letters use only what you wrote; your original words are stored alongside every sent message.
What we never do
- Sell or rent your data. Ever.
- Send a message in your name that you haven't seen and approved.
- Publish your story without recorded consent.
Access & security
Contact information is visible only to campaign staff whose role requires it; volunteers and moderators see names and action logs only. Every export of supporter data is logged. Data is stored in an access-controlled database with nightly backups. To see, correct, or delete your data, email us and we'll do it.
Not legal advice
Nothing on this site is legal advice. If you have an active family law case, talk to your attorney — and remember that letters submitted to the Legislature become public record.
